The wait is finally over. Janet Hsieh has delivered a bouncing baby boy on Wednesday (Oct 11) at 2.37am after 38 hours of labour.
The Taiwanese host and her hubby George Young both 37, shared the good news on Facebook, with Hsieh announcing at 4.30am: “It’s a boy!”
Young, who hosted Channel 5’s game show Million Dollar Money Drop in 2011, said in a Facebook post published at around 5.30am: “I have a son. Janet Hsieh is Wonder Woman. I’ll figure out the rest later.”
Young also had a hand in delivering the 3.65kg baby and cut his umbilical cord under the doctor’s guidance.
It was not an easy birth too, with the overdue baby’s head being big for a natural delivery, Apple Daily Taiwan reported.
The couple tied the knot in 2015 and shared news of their impending first child on April Fools’ Day this year. The baby’s estimated due date was Oct 2.
They have been documenting the pregnancy on their social media accounts, with videos such as Young learning to swaddle a baby.
As Janet entered the 41st week of her pregnancy, the couple attempted to induce birth such as bouncing on a yoga ball, eating spicy food, and dancing among other cheeky tips in a video clip they posted on Facebook.
