Once again, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has melted hearts of mummies around the world and set the bar even higher for daddies.
On Monday (Aug 28), he announced the arrival of his second daughter on the leading social network with a touching open letter for her.
The post was accompanied by a loving family photo of his wife Priscilla cradling the baby, and their first child Maxima checking out her new sister’s tiny foot.
He had also written a letter to Max when she was born about the world in which they hoped she would grow up in. In his letter to August, he chose to focus about childhood, reminding her to “make time to go outside and play”.
Mark only revealed his new baby’s name – August – and kept everyone guessing about her date of birth.
The billionaire internet mogul would be taking two months of paternity leave in parts.
“I’ll take a month off to be with Priscilla and the girls at the beginning, and then we’ll spend the whole month of December together as well,” Zuckerberg wrote in an earlier Facebook post.
“At Facebook, we offer four months of maternity and paternity leave because studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, it’s good for the entire family, ” he added, before quipping: “And I’m pretty sure the office will still be standing when I get back.”
He had also taken a two-month paternity leave following the birth of his first child, Maxima Chan Zuckerberg, in 2015.
Last December, the devoted husband and caring father shared Max’s first steps with 360-degree video, which has since gone viral.
