Question: A lot of tiny, red bumps have popped up on my baby’s back. What’s the best way to treat the heat rash?

Answer: You do need to make sure that it is a heat rash and not a rash due to viral infection, allergy or hypersensitivity. Check with your doctor. Once you’re sure of the diagnosis, keep your baby’s skin cool and dry. Moisturise his skin, and apply a layer of talcum powder after the moisturiser has been absorbed. This is to keep his skin dry and not let him sweat. Dressing your baby lightly also helps.
