Question: My husband likes to throw our three-month-old in the air for fun, and he thinks Baby enjoys it. Is this safe?

Answer: Three months is maybe a little too young. Baby’s head control is still not quite perfect at this stage, and it is not advisable to have the head rocking uncontrollably from front to back. However, as your child grows, I’m sure he or she will love this interaction with Daddy. Babies do seem to enjoy it, no matter what mummies think. It would perhaps be better to leave it until after six months, though, when her neck muscles are a little stronger.
