Question: Should I wash Junior’s clothes separately from the family’s laundry?

Answer: Some experts recommend washing his whites at very high temperatures to remove all stains (such as vomit and poo). But I find that such repeated washings can make the clothes hard and damage the fibres. So long as you stick to a good-quality powder or liquid, there is no problem with washing Junior’s clothes with the rest of the family’s laundry. I suggest you use a non-biological powder, especially if baby’s skin is sensitive (as most are). You may need to pre-soak his most soiled items before washing. Of course, you may find that he creates so much that you end up making a full load with just his clothes!
