    The Promontory @ Marina Bay will play host to South-east Asia’s first official Pokemon-themed fun run next year.

    The run aims to promote bonding and a healthier lifestyle for young and old.

    Organised by Avex Asia and Infinitus Productions, the 2017 Pokemon Run Singapore will be held on Jan 14, 2017.

    It is open to participants aged four and above as of Dec 31, 2017.

    Registration starts from Oct 28, 2016

    If you register by Nov 23, you pay $65 (individual) or $60 (each person in a pair). There are limited slots.

    From Nov 24 to Dec 22, the fees are $70 (individual) and $65 (each person in a pair). There’s no child price.

    Runners will be immersed into a Pokemon trainer’s life and see various Pokemon along the route.

    They will also experience the newest Pokemon from the latest Nintendo 3DS instalments, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

    There will also be a carnival site, Pallet Town, at the end of the 5km run. Pallet Town is the home of Ash Ketchum, the lead character in the Pokemon franchise.

    The carnival will have Pokemon-themed games as well as food and drink.
