Young Parents Team
You’ve checked, double-checked and triple-checked your packing list. Now all that’s left is to load the family into the car and set off for the airport. But how early should families check in? And how are you going to keep the kids entertained in the hours you have before take-off?
The team at Changi Airport recommends that families who are flying with young children check in at least four hours before their flight time. Which is where the airport’s recent introduction of early check-in options comes in especially handy.
It’s available for 23 airlines, and allows travellers to check in 12 to 24 hours ahead of time. That means you can get to the airport early, settle your tickets and luggages, and even have time to explore the airport before you head to your gate with plenty of time to spare. Better yet, you’ll be ahead of the last-minute passengers rushing to catch their flights.
If you plan well enough, the few extra hours may even mean that you can tire the kids out so that they’ll sleep through the flight.
So what are the family-friendly activities available? (You mean aside from all the delicious food options?)
Here are some suggestions.
