    Art Day Out! – a Gillman Barrack Saturday open house – will be back for a special school holiday edition this June.

    Look forward to a wide array of fun, family-friendly art activities, including new exhibitions and programmes, as well as outdoor artworks and open artist studios.

    The June holidays edition of Art Day Out! Will be held at Gillman Barrack on June 23, from 2pm to 7pm. Admission is free.

    Your little ones can become dino hunters and archaeologists at the Dino Invasion adventure playground, navigate the mini obstacle course, jump around in Singapore’s largest bouncy castle and learn more about dinosaurs through play.

    There will also be movie screenings for Jurassic World and The Incredibles 2, as well as free animated movie screenings daily.

    You can also pick up useful mindful tools and activities to help you understand and cope better with the stressors of parenting life from a mindfulness coach.

    Choose from two sessions: June 23 or 30.  This wellness workshop costs $10 per pair of mum and child. To take part, your child has to be between two and six years old.

    Take your kids to National Gallery’s first Children’s Festival, which runs from June 9 to Sept 9. Titled Small Big Dreamers, children and the young-at-heart can look forward to experiential art and active play.

    The first edition of Children’s Festival is inspired by the works of one of Singapore’s pioneer performance artists and a Cultural Medallion recipient, Lee Wen.

    Lee Wen’s installations will be accompanied by other works by international artists such as We Make Carpets from the Netherlands (pictured), teamLab from Japan and Mark Justiniani from the Philippines.

    Admission is free for Singaporeans and permanent residents.

    Watch over 200 performances from students participating in the 52nd Singapore Youth Festival from June 29 to July 8.

    The Festival Concert takes place on June 30 at the Esplanade Theatre (reserve seats for the 3pm matinee here; tickets for the evening concert are sold out). There are other showcases at the Esplanade during the weekend of June 30 and related events at the National Gallery. Admission is free for all events.
