What happens when Mr Men and Little Miss visit Singapore? They drop by Kumoya cafe for some Singapore flavour!
Expect a riot of colours at this pop-up cafe which is “hosting” them. Its walls feature customised illustrations of these cool British characters exploring iconic sights, such as the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands and the Esplanade.
Little Miss Princess has even put on a sarong kebaya!
Expect Western and Singapore delights on the menu, such as Little Miss Princess Pretty Pink mac and cheese ($18.90) and Mr Strong chilli crab pasta ($21.90).
How adorable is the Mr Bump Knock-out nasi lemak ($23.90, pictured)? It’s probably one of the most expensive plates of nai lemak around, but the cafe has added a lot to justify its price.
The generous portion comes with a big piece of crispy boneless chicken, two tempura prawns, potato croquette, cashew nuts, ikan bilis and keropok. It’s pretty sedap, too!
Then wash down your meal with a chendol gula melaka frappe ($14.90). Confirm shiok! Oh, and you’ll get a free limited edition inflatable fridge magnet when you order this drink.
Once again, the menu is curated by famous food artist Shirley Wong, better known as Little Miss Bento.
This special menu will be available from July 5 till end Sept. It’s also the first time this character cafe is serving Singapore-inspired dishes and desserts.
Fans of Mr Men and Little Miss can also buy collectibles such as tote bags, mugs and plush toys.
