Take your kids to Playeum Children’s Centre for Creativity, which has a new exhibition – its third – since it launched in September 2015.

Titled A World Full of Stories, its interactive, open-ended installations aim to foster children’s love of stories through role play, story-making, illustration, writing, drama and puppetry.

Step right in to the centre and your kids will be drawn to the Story Raft, made of bamboo and rope raft by artist Dennis Tan. Look, there’s even a wheel for steering and a flag-flying mast!

Whether they are pretending to be sailors or pirates, children will love “being at sea”, its creative and executive director Anna Salaman tells Young Parents.

You can’t miss the two multi-sensory Story Caves, either. These larger-than-life structures are made by cardboard sculptor Bartholomew Ting.

Your child will get a kick out of using the speaking cups outside of the Listen and Speak cave (pictured right) to talk to her sibling who is inside.

In the other Look and Touch cave (pictured left), kids will love the luminous glow-in-the-dark stickers which lit up the interior.

Next to the amazing raft is a table of kinetic sand, so the little ones can continue fantasising about their sea and beach adventure.
