Joanne Peh’s kids made the headlines in 2016. That was when the actress famously made this declaration in a magazine interview: “My baby has never seen an iPad or watched television.”
At the time, her daughter was 20 months old, and she was seven-months pregnant with her son.
Fast forward three years later. Joanne’s daughter is now four and her son is two.
Young Parents asked the gorgeous 36-year-old about how she manages screen time at a recent event to launch Illuma, a premium milk formula that’s said to be the first in Singapore with breakthrough ingredients.
Joanne’s answer reveals her mindful parenting approach. While she doesn’t ban digital devices, Joanne Peh’s kids only use them for a meaningful purpose. In fact, she can only recall one time when she used a device as a digital babysitter, albeit briefly.
Watch our video, where she shares all about how she uses screen time judiciously, rather than as a digital babysitter.
And in part 2 of our video, Joanne also spoke to us about why she stopped breastfeeding her son at seven months.
