At Sentosa’s newest hotel, every child is a VIK – Village Important Kid. The resort, which officially opened on April 1, puts young ones at the heart of its experience.
My children were ushered to the special VIK priority check-in counter where they “took charge” and checked-in on behalf of the family. (Of course, I still had to stand by to provide my credit card for the deposit.)

We had a Family Room, which comprises two connecting Superior Rooms.
If you have a baby, you can request for amenities such as cot, toys and bathtubs.
The resort-inspired decor instantly put us in a relaxing mood, but we wished there was a little more walking space inside.
This didn’t bother us too much – the room rates are a huge draw and the four pools are gorgeous!
There are three shallow pools, from 0.5m to 0.95m deep, for toddlers and kids who aren’t proficient swimmers.
There is also an adults-only pool, at 1.2m deep, which overlooks the sea.
The family-friendly Village is one of three new hotels at this site off Palawan Beach.
The Outpost, launching in July, is a more luxurious property and strictly for adults – keep this in mind for your next romantic getaway with Hubby.
Look out, too, for the Barracks, another upmarket offering that is housed in a conserved colonial building. This is slated to open at the end of the year.
