Pat’s Schoolhouse
Opened in 1988, this well-known preschool places strong emphasis on values and qualities like curiosity, creativity, confidence, integrity and respect, and its safe, comfortable and nurturing learning environment reflects this.
A pioneer of the Bilingual Immersion Programme, the school conducts all lessons in English and Mandarin, with both language teachers working as co-partners in the classroom at the same time, all the time.
Children are also encouraged to interact in both languages. To ensure that every child receives adequate care and attention, the teacher-child ratio is kept low (1:6 in the toddlers’ class, for example).
