Thanks for keeping it real, Sonia Sui! The 38-year-old actress posted a #messyhairdontcare photo as she announced the birth of her son Olie on Facebook.
Sui is seen cradling the newborn in her arms while her husband Tony Chia hovers over them.
She wrote: “I always look like a mad woman after having a baby.”
Despite her tousled hair, Sui’s fans commented that she looked radiant after the birth.
Before she gave birth, the baby’s gender was kept under wraps.
Through her manager, Sui thanked fans for their well-wishes. She also revealed that she had a tougher time delivering 3.7kg Olie through natural birth.
When she announced her pregnancy in September, fans and netizens alike marvelled at her slim figure.
She was in her second trimester at the time but there was hardly any sign of a baby bump.
With Olie’s arrival, Sui also shared that she moved to a bigger place to accommodate her growing family.
The Taiwanese model-actress announced her third pregnancy on Sept 11 on social media, writing that she had gone on a vacation with her businessman-husband Tony Chia, without their two kids in tow.
Sui said that they wanted to spend some time together as a couple before the birth of their third child.
The couple married in Jan 2015 after a whirlwind romance. They welcomed son Max and daughter Lucy in 2015 and 2017.
Her pregnancy comes as a surprise to many. Sui’s close friend Amanda Chu quipped: “Another one so soon? Are you forming a basketball team?”
After their daughter Lucy was born last year, the couple had said they weren’t planning for a baby anytime soon.
In August, the family was on holiday in Singapore with the grandparents in tow. They visited Resorts World Sentosa, according to pictures shared on Sui’s Facebook.
Sui recently also made headlines after saying on a talkshow that she has plans to retire from showbiz.
She later made a clarification, saying that although family now comes first for her, she is not giving up on her career entirely.
The actress also said that she will migrate to the United States where her husband is based.
She decided on the move because she is worried of him overtiring himself as he has been flying to Taiwan frequently to spend time with his family.
“Even if I move to the US, as long as there are good scripts, I’ll still take on those projects,” Sui said.
