Pregnancy after age 40 has its challenges, but there’s no stopping Hong Kong actress Ada Choi from fulfilling her dream of having four kids.
Ada and her husband, Chinese actor Max Zhang, both 45, announced via a video on Weibo on Friday (June 28) that a baby is on its way. The couple have two daughters, Zoe and Chloe, aged eight and six.
In the video, the couple are teasing each other when Max asks Ada: “Do you have another person in your tummy?”
Ada replies: “Yes.”
Max asks: “Mine?”
Ada replies: “Yes… are you scared?”
Max asks: “What is there to be scared about?”
Ada replies: “Are you scared? It’s 10 months.”
Max smiles and says: “Everyone is not scared.”
Max confirmed the good news to the Hong Kong media later, as he said the pregnancy was unplanned.
Ada wrote on her Weibo account that it’s a “dream come true” for her, as she has always wanted to have four kids.
This led to speculation that she was expecting twins this time round, but she quickly edited and added that this includes her lost baby. In a recent episode of reality show My Dearest Ladies, she revealed that she suffered a miscarriage before her daughters were born.
The couple, who met while filming the TV serial The Paradise in 2003, have been married for 11 years.
