Billionaire Peter Lim is now a grandfather. His daughter Kim, 24, delivered a baby boy at Thomson Medical Centre three days ago.
The hospital is part of a private healthcare group, bought over by Mr Lim in 2010.
Mr Lim’s daughter and grandchild had made the news as football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo visited them on Friday 10am.
The Portugal captain and Real Madrid player was in Singapore on a one-day whistle-stop visit.
A spokesman for Mr Lim said that Ms Lim had married earlier and would prefer not to make public the identity of her child’s father.
The baby’s name was also not revealed.
The wedding ceremony will be held next year, according to Ms Lim’s Instagram post yesterday.
The video showed a wedding invitation with the words: “Save the date, 23rd March 2018”.
However, she is believed to be seeing Mario Ho, the son of Hong Kong gambling magnate Stanley Ho.
Ho had sparked rumours that the two were engaged with another Instagram post on Dec 30 in 2015.
In it, he wrote: “Beyonce told me if I like something, I should put a ring on it. Well, I liked it so I put my ring on it ?? welcome to Macau, princess Kimmy.”
The couple was also seen spending Valentine’s Day in Paris last year. Ho posted a photo of their hands on Instagram the day after, showing them wearing new rings.
He wrote: “I want to say she’s one in a million, but that’s statistically idiotic because then there’d be 7000 of her in the world.
“Therefore, what do you do when you find the ‘one in 7 billion’? You “tie her down” with an even nicer ring.”
Both had posted on their respective Instagram pages photos taken on an open-air terrace in Paris, with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
Photos posted later showed the couple attending the Uefa Champions League football match between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.
