Naomi Neo and her husband H welcomed their baby boy Kyzo on June 25 at Thomson Medical Centre. The 22-year-old lifestyle and fashion influencer, who got hitched in March when she was six months pregnant, had shared the news with her 449,000 followers on Instagram.
5 days ago when we welcomed our son into this world. This pic prolly doesn’t justify how overjoyed I was cos I was feeling super groggy from the operation + my eyes were swollen cos I had an allergic reaction 😂 Quick recap – All along I was super against the idea of having a csect and planned on doing natural delivery ever since I found out I was pregnant. Mainly cos I’m extremely active and couldn’t stand the thought of being bedridden + I was afraid of the complications of it. On the 23rd, during my last check up, my doctor told me my baby was 3.5kg (Avg newborns range from 2.8kg-3.2kg, so he was pretty big + I’m god damn small) and if I wanted to proceed with natural delivery she would’ve to induce me. So on the 25th morning, at 38 weeks and 1 day, I checked into @thomsonmedical and was induced at midnight. It was a long and torturous wait. The contractions kicked in and started peaking at around 6am when my doctor broke my water bag, but I was only 2cm dilated. I prayed to myself in pain that I would progress as I continued to press on. To my dismay, I was only 3cm dilated after waiting a total of 13hrs (I’ve to be at 10cm to deliver) At that point, all I could think of was how badly I wanted to see baby boy – so I proceeded with an emergency csect. (Thankfully I did cos his actual birth weight was close to 3.7kg + he was facing upwards and would’ve caused him to be at risk if we went for vaginal delivery) It was a painless procedure and I had 4 awesome doctors – one of them even played me songs while two of them were operating me 😂 In less than 30mins, I had my first skin to skin moment with baby K while「不該」was playing in the background, with my husband by my side and tears all welled up in my eyes. I was filled with excitement, happiness and I felt in love all over again. After 4 days, we finally brought him back home ytd; secretly wished my stay was longer cos the service at @thomsonmedical was superb and everyone was extremely helpful/supportive. 🤭 Alright, I want to end this with a huge THANK YOU to everyone for all your blessings, well wishes and love. BRB back to mom duties 😅 Hint: More updates will be up on my YouTube channel soon 😝😉
Five days later, along with a new photo of the couple and their infant, she confided on Instagram that she had been against the idea of a C-section and planned to deliver her child naturally. After waiting for 13 hours and only 3-cm dilated, she relented and proceeded with an emergency C-section.
“Thankfully I did cos his actual birth weight was close to 3.7kg + he was facing upwards and would’ve caused him to be at risk if we went for vaginal delivery,” she said, before describing it as “a painless procedure” that was done in “less than 30 mins”.
A video Naomi shared recently also captured the smiles of family and friends as they trooped into the hospital to visit both mother and baby. Although she complained that “I’ve never felt so sleepy in my entire life” when she wheeled back to the room, she quickly regained her cheerful spirits as she started to take photographs of her husband and child with her smartphone. (Spoiler alert: Do not watch if you’re feeling hungry.)
By day 9 of Kyzo’s arrival, Naomi appeared to be having fun with her motherhood duties, as she dressed the youngster up for a totally adorbs photo shoot. But it didn’t detract from her feeling “freaking exhausted” from caring for the baby, as she points out in the same video. She said she barely slept but insisted it was worth it at the end of the day.
Celebrated Kyzo’s Full month in advance over the weekend and he’s officially 1 month old tomorrow. Crazy how time flies?! He’s growing so fast 😫 Everyone be tellin me how he doesn’t even look like a newborn with his size 😂 . Anyway thank you @enjoue.sg for the super adorbs Duffy and Stella Lou set up! . A day before he turned 1-month-old, the doting parents threw a party with a set-up that featured Duffy and Stella Lou plush toys, and sweet treats like donuts, cupcakes and macarons as well as loads of balloons in pastel shades. When not snapping pictures or catching up with one another, the guests got down to a game of mini soccer.

Naomi was clearly overcome with emotions as she took to Instagram with this message to her child: “Mommy and Daddy will always love you.”
Meanwhile, we’re waiting for her to shed some light about the inspiration behind his name.
