Being a mum shouldn’t change your sense of style. Social media star Stephanie Er shares how you can look better.
STEP UP THE STYLE “After I gave birth, I continued dressing in the same way I did when I was pregnant. I was breastfeeding and my boobs grew even bigger than when I was expecting. So when I go out now, I wear more jackets and dresses, instead of T-shirts and shorts. And I must say, I like my new style. I realised that when you cover up more, you actually look better. You look more like a woman.”
FIND WHAT FLATTERS YOU
“People keep telling me: ‘Oh, you bounced back so fast. You lost so much weight.’ It’s really not; it’s about hiding your flaws – nothing too figure-hugging. You shouldn’t wear tight jeans when you have a muffin top. A tip: if you have a waist – well, some people don’t, because they have a straight body – wear a high-waisted skirt. It really matters how you dress for your body shape.”
SHE CHANGED ME “I see being a mum as part of growing up; it doesn’t change my sense of style. It’s not like: oh, I’m a mum now, so I have to dress this way. But Ara did change me on the inside… I thought I would stay cool when she hits her milestones. But when she first rolled over and pushed herself up, I went crazy! I’m also a more responsible person now.”
