Eggs are packed with protein and nutrients. But steer clear of salted eggs and century eggs, especially when you’re pregnant.
That’s because of their high salt content, explains Vanitha Buthmanaban, a dietitian at the Health Promotion Board‘s Youth Health Division. These preserved eggs may worsen water retention during pregnancy.
And because century eggs are sometimes served uncooked, they may also put you at risk of salmonella infections, she warns.
