Let your child develop water competency in an enjoyable, safe and systematic manner while contributing to a social cause!
Why join MYMCA swimming programme?
If you’re looking for a swimming class for your kids, look no further than MYMCA which has 20 years of rich experience in conducting swimming programmes.
Conducted by accredited instructors, the programme is designed to help every child build a strong foundation in water competency – in a safe and systematic manner.
- Systematic programme & customised pace
MYMCA swimmers advance through progressive levels. Each level requires swimmers to proficiently and safely perform the skills taught before progressing to the next level. Kids will learn at their own pace, and only progress to the next stage when they are assessed to be ready. At all times, your children’s safety is paramount.
The programme helps kids develop confidence in the water and become competent swimmers. Swimmers get to participate in their annual Cross Culture Swim Meet and other fun events. Each event is an opportunity for your child to grow and cultivate friendships with kids of different nationalities.
Proven track record for two decades
Its swimming programme and instructors have received many positive testimonials from parents. Here are just two of them.
MYMCA has a pool of qualified instructors who are certified by Sport Singapore (formerly known as the Singapore Sports Council) and AUSTSWIM, an Australian-based organisation that specialises in teaching swimming and water safety. They are sought after for their extensive experience in coaching children in all levels of swim learning.
In addition, they also conduct specialised swimming programmes to help kids better understand water safety.
MYMCA swimming curriculum includes new skill sets from the National SwimSafer 2.0. MYMCA is an approved testing centre for SwimSafer level 1 and 2. Apart from teaching children how to swim, instructors test them on their swimming skills. This provides parents the convenience of a one-stop destination. SwimSafer, a water safety programme that seeks to raise the standard of swimming proficiency in Singapore, is recognized by educational institutions and sports centre.
Children learn basic water safety skills such as safe water entry and exit as well as bubbles blowing and streamline flutter kicks. They undergo a competency assessment before progressing to freestyle swimming.
