VIV’S SCHOOLHOUSE SPECIAL
Like most parents in Singapore, you want your child to succeed in life. Above all else, you also believe that success means more than just paper achievements and social skills – it encompasses well-grounded values and a strong moral compass. As such, you want an all-rounded, holistic foundation for your kid. Enter Viv’s Schoolhouse, and you will discover a niche environment that delivers all these, and more.
Guiding a compassionate generation
Viv’s Schoolhouse is a childcare centre that provides a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 18 months to six years. Teachers here focus on students’ character development through a holistic approach and an emphasis on values. Here, lessons on values and character development are incorporated into every class, and not just covered as a disparate part of the curriculum. The result is academically inclined children who are, more importantly, emotionally mature, kind and compassionate.
No academic compromises
All that social-emotional learning does not mean Junior’s preparation for primary school is put on the back burner. The rigorous curriculum, under the guidance of professional consultants, Dr Tan Bee Geok (former head of the Ministry of Education Gifted Education Program) and Serena Lim, the school’s in-house educational psychologist, is well-curated and evidence-based, and is constantly updated to ensure relevance. A low teacher-to-child ratio (1:5 for Playgroup and Nursery 1, 1:8 for Nursery 2 and 1:10 for K1 and K2) ensures each child gets optimum attention from teachers, while preparing them for the larger classes of primary schools.
