A good academic record isn’t the only thing that determines your children’s success when they are older. A strong character will also take them far in life and help them become valuable members of society.
Developing your kid’s character starts at home. Here, your little ones are given all the love, care and support they need to thrive. It’s where morals and values are taught and where kids are guided to be the best they can be.
AGAPE LITTLE UNI. creates the same type of loving environment for your children in preschool. “Agape” in Greek means unconditional love. It’s the same kind of love kids receive at home that prepares them for success in life.
Who is the AGAPE LITTLE UNI. child?
In this loving and caring environment, kids develop the five core values that are essential for character development: love, wisdom, integrity, discipline and passion.
AGAPE LITTLE UNI. children love themselves, others and the things they do. They also know the difference between right and wrong, value integrity and honesty, are disciplined and determined when it comes to achieving their goals, and strive for excellence in everything they undertake.
A character-building curriculum
AGAPE LITTLE UNI.’s Character Development Programme teaches values by putting kids in real-life situations that empower them to think and reflect before they act. It is through these authentic and meaningful learning experiences that strength of character is forged.
To teach the value of creativity, for example, the teachers encourage kids to express themselves freely during activities and to draw on their own knowledge and experiences to create something new or different.
The school also uses an Inquiry-Based Learning Curriculum that shapes your children’s character further by encouraging them to ask questions, collaborate with others, and experiment with different media and tools to present their work.
The curriculum is progressive – this means that its content gets more advanced as the kids grow and develop. So, the more they explore and inquire, the more they learn.
In addition, the classrooms have teaching aids that allow endless opportunities for discovery and exploration. Take Tutti, AGAPE LITTLE UNI.’s resident terrapin, for instance. All the kids get the chance to clean, feed, and care for the animal, and in the process they learn the value of responsibility and what it means to work as a team.
The fun and learning don’t stop once the kids step out of the classroom. AGAPE LITTLE UNI.’s Gambas centre also houses an aerial playground, a hydroponics station where the children can observe herbs being grown, and a farmer’s market, where they get to harvest fresh fruit and veggies that are incorporated into their meals.
